Introduction	I created this blog as a partner site to my under-performing etsy page www.earthoven.etsy.com and my facebook fan page http://www.facebook.com/EarthOven-Design/. I wanted to create a showcase of how I create utilitarian art in my everyday life, not just pieces that I sell to make scratch. I like to think of myself as an artisa~dreamista~non~barista wanna~be genius extraordinaire, seamstress, designer, crochet~er, painter, textile artist, pattern maker, household McGuyver, home improvement aficionado, sketcher, sculptor, jewelry maker, accessory creator, costume designer, vegetable grower, macrame-er, vintage clothing expert and refurbisher, all around compulsive DIY~er and autodidact. My careers have spanned the Alaskan fishing industry, hairdressing, housewife, office slave, caregiving for disabled and elderly folks, hippie, mom, agricultural work, picking vintage, owning a vintage boutique, college student, and gypsy. In the last couple years I have been experimenting with urban guerilla art and crochet grafitti.
