Introduction	My name's Amy. I'm 22, and 10 years ago I was diagnosed with severe depression and GAD. I am also a confirmed HSP (http://hsperson.com/) and Myers-Briggs INFJ personality. These traits together mean I have an incredibly rare and complex mind, but also a very dysfunctional one, one that has a truly miserable impact on day to day life. The Haze Effect is the name I came up with for when I'm feeling at my lowest, it can strike whenever, and when it does it truly feels like you're living in a fog. You can't see the light, everything is distorted and nothing is clear any more. No one wants to go out in a fog, it's too dark and horrible. It's consuming, it's miserable and it's downright lonely when you're caught in it. You want to recluse until it passes. And it does, eventually, until the next time. I've spent years researching both scientifically and anecdotal, and to date unfortunately my illness is still paralysing me in life, but by talking about it in my posts I'm hoping the outlet will give me a sense of purpose, one which I can use to help others in this situation alike, and perhaps one day we can come out the other side stronger.
