| Introduction | Travis Schoenborn is the newest apple farmer in rural west Michigan. His family has been growing apples for many generations. As a father of two young children, he is committed to the future of the family orchard and giving them a solid grounding in agriculture and the freedom to pursue their interests. Currently, Schoenborn can be found in the area of Conklin, working at the family orchard known as EDS Schoenborn Orchards. The orchard is situated in a prime area for apple picking. According to the Michigan Apple Committee, the family orchard is squarely in the top five for apple-growing farms, with only Washington and New York producing more apples than Michigan. |
