| Introduction | I was born and raised in Florida, but moved to Texas in 1978 to attend college at Abilene Christian University. I majored in Chemistry and earned both a BS and MS from ACU. I currently work for a major coatings manufacturer as a paint chemist, where I formulate and develop coatings for industrial use. I have been married for 28 years to my college sweetheart, and have two children, daughter, 21 and a son, 16. I attend Lake Highland Church, in Dallas Texas. |
| Interests | Enjoy watching my son play baseball, listening to my daughters stories about college and dorm life. I enjoy watching my favorite sports teams (Florida Gators, Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavericks) on tv and somtime in person. I am also an avid reader, my wife would say too much. I enjoy christian writers, biographies, the Bible and science related topics in magazines and books. Sadly I am a bit of a political junkie as well. |
| Favorite movies | I am not real good with remembering movies, but here goes. I love the Lord of the Rings Trilogy movies and Remember the Titans, The Rookie. Movies I have seen and liked recently were Invictus and Blind Side. |
| Favorite music | I enjoy artists such as Chris Tomlin, Mercy Me, Phil Wickam, Shane and Shane, Swithfoot and Casting Crowns. Though if you asked me the names of any of their songs I couldn't tell you. Recently I heard CDs by John Foreman (lead singer of Switchfoot) and Rick Pino and loved them both. |
| Favorite books | I really loved reading "The Shack" by William P Young and highly recommend it. I recently read a testimonial autobiography called "The Heavenly Man" about Brother Yun of the Chinese House Church. Very powerful. I will just say basically anything John Eldredge and Larry Crabb have written. I recently read Sarah Palin's book "Going Rogue" and found it an interesting read. |
