Introduction	Welcome to Gimp Corps. First off, if you have found this blog without really knowing what Gimp is, it is an image manipulation program similar to Adobe Photoshop. There are two main differences between Gimp and Photoshop. When asked; the people that are familiar with both programs will tell you two things. Photoshop is absolutely necessary to have if your profession involves photo manipulation. This is due to just how powerful the Photoshop software really is. The second thing they will say is that GIMP is an extremely good alternative to Photoshop if you don't want to pay about $400 - $600 for it. ******************************* Which is easier to use seems to mostly depend on which program each individual is more familiar with. I for instance have never used Photoshop and have never even watched a tutorial on how to use Photoshop. For me Gimp is very nicely laid out and I feel it is very powerful. Oh and Gimp is free for anybody to download (imagine most people don't forget to mention that on a blog devoted to Gimp haha).
