Introduction	I was born a year and a half after Typhoon Phyllis, so if you are familiar with the devastation that that "bitch" did to that small, isolated atoll, you would readily know where and when I was born. I spent my early childhood years there but my teen years and a large part of my adult life were lived out on the island of my ancestors--the island of "konomel"--the home of my children.
