| Introduction | I earned a Bachelor of Sciences degree from Juniata College in Behavioral Sciences and continued my education at Findlay College in Ohio in Equine Sciences. I have been employed with Shaw Industries for over 32 years. I started my photography when my wife and I were snorkeling in the Bahamas shortly after our marriage over 27 years ago. After starting with disposible cameras and a flashlight, upgrades were made to an Olympus C-4000, an Ikelite housing, and a DS-125 strobe. In 2008 my first DSLR was purchased, the Canon 40D, followed by the 50D in 2009 and the 5D Mark III at the end of 2016. Since purchasing a farm over ten years ago, dive trips have been on hold, but land based trips have fed my external hard drives. Creative Live has been a huge asset for continued study, skill development and understanding lighting and elements of composition. My inspiration comes from a desire to capture and share the beauty and diversity of God's creation using the gifts and skills He has given me. Hopefully, the viewer will be drawn into the moment, as if they were there. |
