About me

Introduction	Mrs. Hopping is now in her 9th year of teaching at Columbus Academy. She previously taught 4th grade and this is her third year in 2nd grade. Previous to her teaching career, Mrs. Hopping had a worked in Social Work in an Alzheimer's Unit in New York. She currently lives in Granville with her husband, Jeremy, and 2 children: Grace (3), Nathanial (1), and is due to have her third child on September 24. Her hobbies include reading, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Downing is in her 10th year of teaching at Columbus Academy. This is her second year in second grade, while previously teaching first grade. Prior to her education career, Mrs. Downing worked in Medical Social Work at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. She and her husband, Mike live in Gahanna, Ohio. They have three sons, Garrett (23), Chris (20), and Matt (12). Her hobbies include reading, scrapbooking, going to the gym, and spending time with her family.
