Introduction	Rather late in life I discovered my calling. A friend mentioned that I should become a midwife. I immediately felt this just might be my purpose in life. After investigation and prayer I pursued this avenue. I started my education and training in September of 1988. As of Dec. 2010 I've attended 1171 ladies in childbirth. It truly has been the most rewarding and challenging decision of my life. After several years of practicing I learned that I am a 5th and 6th generation midwife on both sides of my family. Confirmation again. I continue to learn with each birth and still see the miracle in God's design of childbirth. My friend, Deidre DeGrado who is also a midwife will occasionally blog her births on this site as well. The Lord gave me the name Fruitful Vine ministeries which comes from Psalm 128: 3, Your wife shall be a Fruitful vine In the very heart of you house. I am blessed to assist your family in the heart of your homes while being fruitful and multiplying.
