| Introduction | Sharon Fiedler Shimanovsky is a 34 year old BRCA1 gene carrier. She was diagnosed with stage IIIA breast cancer in August 2008. She was 10 weeks pregnant at diagnosis. Sharon is not a writer. When she was diagnosed, her husband suggested that she keep a diary so she could have an outlet, remember the details of this time, and so she could share her story with her children many years from now. |
