Introduction	Brick and Rope is a books blog. I review and discuss literary fiction, business, economics, science and sociology books, and anything else I might be reading at the time, including the occasional Harry Potter or Twilight. On my move back to India after seven years in the US, Brick and Rope is also a journal of my observations of life lived differently. The title 'Brick and Rope' is a tip of the hat to the little town of my childhood, Itarsi, so named for its past with factories of Ita (brick) and Rassi (rope). The picture on the header is 'Taj Mahal at sunrise', taken by Adrian Pope. It is on National Geographic's site on India photos, and I truly hope isn't under copyright!
