| Introduction | Freelance writer, living in Duluth MN. I'm a semi-retired newspaper journalist who continues to enjoy writing on my blog, www.jimheffernan.org and bi-monthly in the Duluth News Tribune. I wrote a monthly in-print column for the area life style magazine, Duluth~Superior Magazine, from 2008-2014 and an online column for Zenith City Online. My book, Cooler Near the Lake, is a collection of some of my classic newspaper columns while employed full time as a journalist with the Duluth News Tribune.
