| Favorite Movies | David Lynch (director) twin peaks, mulholland drive and lost highway. (or similar types of avant- garde, surreal and psychologically mind meddling art. Some low budget indie movies. I hate Hollywood and the mainstream media. But if anyone can make film with depth, complexity and layers. I’ll like it, I also enjoy older movies, or world movies. I like movies or film that most people cannot fathom. (Former student of Journalism/film and media studies- I actually won an award for my work in 2014 for my essay and study of the film and media industry. The award is specifically for my writing in exposing the media industry in Australia and its corrupt and corporate agenda). I hate tv, or anything that is conveyed by the subliminal predictive programming that media has pushed into the consciousness of modern society. I can only enjoy work that is meaningful, and magickal in the captivation of my senses. Mostly laced with symbolism and Allegory; metaphor and depth. |
| Favorite Music | I love music that is heartfelt or moving in many ways and layers. I enjoy anything that is OUTSIDE the norm, that breaks the barrier and invites a unique resonance for the listener. I don’t like carbon copy bands or artists who are not easily “identified”. (Most modern music). incoherent screaming of the later breed of hardcore, death metal, or screaming and moshing metal that took the scene and emo world by storm in the 00s. (Thy art is murder). I can however appreciate bands that evolve as they grow, as Parkway Drive have. My first albums of innovating my music taste were Brand New- The Devil and God And déjà entendu ( to a lesser extent) circa survive - on letting go And the early one The butterfly effect - imago Katatonia Lydia- This December it’s One More and I’m free And Illuminate The Spill Canvas- One Fell swoop Sunsets and Car crashes Therion- secret of the runes Ayreon - electric castle Deftones- white pony The Mars Volta - A Bedlam in Goliath Placebo- Meds Tool- Undertow, Anima, Lateralus, 10, 000 days. more than anything and open my mind to new tastes, experimental and progressive, atmospheric or emotionally stimulating/passionate/works of alchemy of the creator that pushes the envelope of harmonic innovation. (An example is the various work of Maynard James Keenan- Tool, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer. Now Wine Making). |
