Introduction	I started this blog because it combined my passions of writing, hiking, traveling, photography and history. I believe there are so many good things in this world and it is up to us to go out and find them. Even though this is a "travel" blog, I believe that travel can be as far as the other side of the world, or as near as our own backyard. We can even travel back in time or to an exotic place through a good book. My family and God are the most important things in my life. If I can combine these two elements with any of my travels, they become much more meaningful.
