| Introduction | I've lived on the Outer Banks since 1993. I was a commercial lender from 1993-2008 and a mortgage lender from 2008-10. In 2010 I cofounded the Outer Banks Voice with Rob Morris, which became the largest news publication (print or digital) in the region with 7 million page views in 2018. In 2019 the Voice was sold to a group headed by the owners of the Outer Banks Sentinel and East Carolina Radio. I will be working on a food/beverage blog in 2019. My past service included serving on the board of the Outer Banks Homebuilders Assoc, including a stint a legislative affairs committee co-chair, the board of the First Flight Rotary Club, where I was also a past president and Paul Harris Fellow. I am a member and Past Master of Manteo Lodge 521 F.A. & A.M. , Sudan Shrine Temple, Dare County Shrine Club, the Outer Banks Beach Bums Shrine Parade Unit, the New Bern Valley of the Scottish Rite, the Elizabeth City York Rite Bodies and the Royal Order of Scotland. I current teach Political Science and Economics at the College of the Albemarle in Dare County and Elizabeth City. |
