| Introduction | I have had seven cats, three of which had HCM-Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. I began the blog when the first one-Myrna Loy-developed HCM at 8 months old. Then we had Cooper, then Katharine develop HCM. I want to share their stories, what results we got with meds and vitamins and supplements; I want to encourage early heart echos for all cats with heart murmurs or a family history of murmurs/heart disease (even if the cat seems healthy now); and I want to encourage owners to give vitamins and supplements to their HCM cats to improve their condition/heart strength. Then I want us to share as many stories and as much information as we can about feline HCM. I also have over the years, shared all other health issues we have encountered with our cats. |
