| Introduction | I've liked sports as more than a friend since I was a fetus, as evidenced by the irrevocable damage I caused my mother while practicing my individual post-defense in the womb. My lust for competitive athletics cannot be traced to my family (my father's best/favorite sport has always been "trivial pursuits" and my mother retired her jersey after a stressful run as the captain/tallest member of her elementary school basketball team. Unfortunately this was before free agency so she squandered her best years with a bunch of scrubs.), but rather to some sort of cosmic belonging (or maybe it's the ADHD). Consider this space a look into the sports world for the sophisticated fan who appreciates quirk, puns and obscure historical references. |
