IntroductionVonda Clayson Sanford passed away Friday, February 18, 2011 from complications of a stroke. She was 76 years old and lived a full and happy life. She was born in Evanston, WY, the eldest child of Leo and Ethel Clayson. She attended Brigham Young University and married John Glen Sanford in the Salt Lake Temple on September 10, 1953. Vonda was a devoted wife and mother of 7 children. Her family was central to her life. She was the President of Nevada American Mothers from 1988–1989. She was a member of the LDS Church and served as Relief Society President, Primary President, Inservice Leader, and Temple Worker. She served a mission with her husband who opened the Cherry Hill, NJ Mission 1995–1998. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, J. Glen Sanford; her 7 children: Steven, Brenda (Beard), Brian, Lee Ann (Wible), Julie (Wible), John, and David; 26 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and her 4 sisters: Sharon Crandall, Raenee Haymond, Carol Lee Underwood, and Marlene Galbraith.
