| Introduction | Mia Carey is a Doctoral student at the University of Florida. She earned her M.A. from the University of Florida in 2014 and also holds a dual B.A. in Anthropology and Sociology from Howard University. Mia is the recipient of a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship and a McKnight Doctoral Fellowship. She specializes in Historical Archaeology with an emphasis on zooarchaeology and African Americans and the Disapora. |
