| Introduction | On august 20, 2005 i received the most precious angel, Isabella Arely Nohemi, in my home in Antigua Guatemala the following is from my original journal, MARCH 1 2005 i am beginning my adoption process. i started looking for information in oct 04, since july through october, i was numb from the sickness of both my father and my dog, friend child and companion, and then their deaths 2 weeks apart. after spending the entire month of october mourning and crying, i realized that my option to getting pregnant and having a child was to be an adoptive mom, and adopt a child. i researched countrys and agencys, and then came christmas vacation where it was hard to begin anything, because both mexico and guatemala, mexico where i am , and guatemala where i was thinking of adopting, were on standstill until the holidays came to an end. in december i discovered several adoption forums, and they kept me going with an enormous amount of information, which led me to my adoptive placement agency, and the country, guatemala, which i have chosen to adopt. scroll down to see what it was like when i finally went down to Guatemala. |
