Introduction	A long time gamer, going back to the ACW game that appeared in Life Magazine back in the centennial of that war. My sister and I "improved" the rules, setting the stage for the rule tinkering I've done ever since. I'm almost exclusively a solo gamer. I get most of my gaming contact through blogs, playtesting, and pre-reviewing of rules for logic, continuity, etc. for other gamers. I play a wide spectrum from cavemen to post-apoc and a lot in between. Prefer skirmish to other but do play some massed battles, particularly if running a solo campaign.

Favorite movies	Casablanca, The Wind & The Lion, Spartacus, Gladiator, Braveheart, Zulu, The Wild Geese, The Magnificent Seven, Aliens, Silverado, Die Hard, The Sting
Favorite music	Country, Electronic, and movie scores - not just a group of rock songs kludged together as a "soundtrack" but musical scores as we have from Miklos Roza, Basil Poledouris, john Williams, Alan Silvestri, James Horner, and the like.
Favorite books	The Killer Angels, anything by Elmore Leonard, Game of Thrones series, World War Z, the Brother Cadfael mystery series, Riders of the Purple Sage
