| Introduction | Since 3 of March 2010 she is serving as Minister of Communications and Works of the Republic of Cyprus.Born in 1949 in Limassol, Cyprus. Graduate of Law and Political Science (University of Athens) and PhD Sociology and Political Science (University of Helsinki). Career Diplomat from 1980-2007. Served as Ambassador to Sweden (with concurrent accreditation to all Nordic and Baltic States), to the United States of America (with concurrent accreditation to Canada, Brazil, Guyana, Jamaica) and to Lebanon and Jordan. From 16 July, 2007 to 28 February 2008 she served as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus. Dr. Marcoullis represented Cyprus in several International Organizations and many international Conferences. She lectured in Universities and Think Tanks in the United States, Canada, Sweden, Finland and other countries. She received many Honors and Awards and appeared on many Cypriot, Greek, US and other foreign Media. She is married to Dr. George Marcoullis, M.D., Ph.D. They have a son Panos (MS in Project Management and IST) married to Martha Kehajas (MS in Public Health). |
