| Introduction | My name is Jan and I knit. Well, I do have other occupations too! I work part-time, running a small canteen at a tertiary college near me. I knit. I'm a grandma to five lovely grandchildren, two boys and three girls. Ages currently range from 7 1/2 to 15 months. I knit. I am a voracious reader and would really like to do a Th.D or Ph.D, depending on instiution. However, life keeps getting in the way of the several years required for this. Did I mention I knit? I do do other items but my passion is socks. Alll sorts and sizes. My feet tell me they hat e the thought of returning to commercial socks. I give a lot away too. Portable, easy to knit, wonderful to wear, good for trying small swatches of different patterns, relatively inexpensive way of using gorgeous yarns. I love knitting socks. There, I've confessed it. |
