| Introduction | Welcome to my blog! My name is Susan McSwean. I am a semi-retired math teacher. I say semi-retired because I am still teaching at Troy University Dothan campus as an adjunct instructor and supervising our math interns. This is a job I have truly enjoyed doing since I "retired" from the high school setting in 2008. My family consists of a daughter, son-in-law, two granddaughters, and my 88 year old mother who lives with me. My daughter and her family live in Fort Walton Beach, Florida which means I don't get to see my granddaughters as much as I would like to. My mother has lived with me for almost three years now. My father will be deceased three years in February, 2021. I also have a "zoo crew" which consists of three indoor cats and a mother cat and her two kittens. The mother cat took up with me last Spring. They keep me pretty busy. Teaching math has been my passion for all of my adult life. I love that moment whenever a student finally sees and learns a hard concept for her/him. It truly is a very special moment for me. I hope I never loose my passion for teaching math and working with my students. I hope you find my blog to be helpful to you. |
