| Introduction | 33 years a teacher, 2 before that as a trainer. Retiring on August 31st 2007. With a little bit of luck my cancer treatment will be over by then and I'll have a sense of freedom I've never experienced before. Retired people tell me they don't know how they ever found time for work and many others have asked me what I am going to do. I'm looking forward to having time and choice but I do know that I'll be throwing away many things to do with teaching including a few threadbare jackets and typically shiny, worn pairs of trousers. |
