| Introduction | This site represents my views and the views of people who wish to comment. The opinions expressed do not represent the views of any organisation that I am associated with. I am the Governance Officer with Blacktown City Council and Publicity Officer for the Supply Managers Group of the Western Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils. My career in local government spans 26 years. I have created this blog to share the vision of a cohesive local government sector that operates from the same rule book, a national Local Government Act, in all regions of Australia. Cutting out the states interference in local planning decisions and replacing meagre state funding with a share of GST to tackle the backlog in infrastructure are just a few of the possible outcomes from such a transition.
