| Introduction | We are an energetic little family who loves to spend time with friends and family. Dante is now 7 years old and Makenzi is 5! We are adjusting well to our new life and continue to roll with the punches. Dante is in 1st grade and is in a Portuguese Immersion class, which means 1/2 the day he is learning English, and the other 1/2 he is learning Portuguese. He is one of the top students in his class and is class is doing amazingly in every subject! Makenzi struggled with some bad anxiety for a while but over the past few months has done amazingly at handling her emotions. She loves her preschool class and loves all her friends there. She is finally to a point where we expect "great days" at preschool - even on days when they have fire drills. (That used to freak her out so bad they would have to carry her outside for the drill.) She has even since climbed on a fire truck twice in one day, enjoying the experience as well as feeling so incredibly brave for being on the fire truck. :) I am SO incredibly proud of both of my kids and how much growth they have both had over the past few months! |
