| Introduction | I live in a wonderful rural community of mostly retired folks; we share our lives with the deer who wander the streets and traipse through unfenced yards, the squirrels, a multitude of birds, racoons, and the rare cougar. I keep busy with the self-sufficiency blogs, peak oil, UrbanSurvival, turning the lawn into garden with edible landscape, jewelry making, textile crafts, and rag rug creation.
