| Introduction | I attended St.Michael;s Institution ,Ipoh, Malaysia and St Anthony's Secondary School ,Teluk Intan. (1956- 1967).It was one of the wisest decisions made by my parents .Next to my parents, my two schools have the strongest claim to everything that has made what I am today. My principals and teachers were educators par excellence..Among these great persons I would include Brother Ultan Paul,Brother Vincent Corkery, Brother Casimir Hannon,Brother Damian Oliver and Mr Eric Gomez. What stands out in all of them was a selfless zeal for the education of young people. I hope and pray that I can be counted one day among this band of brothers to all. I also remember with great affection and reverence two of my professors at the University of Malaya where I read for my degree in English - Prof Lloyd Fernando and Prof Syed Nazir Raza Kazmi. My dearest wife Julianna and my two sons -Vinobha Anthony and Noel Ramesh inhabit and enliven the very private world in which I now spend my days. |
