| Introduction | Daniel Duff has had a lifelong love for reptiles, which was sparked in early childhood from a fascination with dinosaurs. He can most often be found hiking the most remote regions of the North Georgia Mountains, or camping along the black water rivers of South Georgia, reflecting peacefully by a campfire. Armed with a research permit from the Georgia DNR and US Forest Service, Daniel spends much of his time in the field gathering notes from timber rattlesnake assemblages in the Chattahoochee National Forest. Daniel is also currently working as a volunteer for the Gwinnett County, Georgia Parks and Recreation Department on a biological survey. He is also a volunteer with the Adopt-A-Stream program for the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. Daniel hopes to soon earn his B.S. in Environmental Science. He currently resides in north Georgia with his wife and two daughters, and makes a living as a drinking water operator. |
