| Introduction | When I think of the people who say things like "The About Me section is so lame," I realize that is not ME. I love sharing the aspects of me that I'm proud of & that I'm scared of. I see it as an opportunity to be truthful; to be honest with one’s self & whoever cares to read about my life, my hopes, & me. I'm compassionate. I care about others, to the point of mild, constant anxiety. I admit to being a tad selfish/self-centered (I am the baby of 4 kids, after all). I even admit that to some extent my compassion is related to my self-centeredness. I can be silly. I am shy when it comes to dancing, but when surrounded by the right company I will dance until 6am to tunes on my record player. Much of my energy comes from the energy of others. Yes, I believe we give off & receive each other's energies. I admire people who are calm & thoughtful & try to embody those qualities. I am crafty & loving. I believe human touch is a symbol of kindness & connection, empathy & understanding. Having full awareness of one's mind, body, & spirit in the present moment is the cure to all sadness, anger, & frustration. If the whole world practiced self-awareness there would be no war. |
