I HAVE... walked the streets of New York and India; slept in luxury hotels and huts of indigenous folks; seen the world from Sears Tower, Empire State building, and landslide-prone mountains, as well as on crowded streets and solitary byways. Got refreshed by the showers from Niagara Falls; traveled on foot, animal-drawn carts, planes, jitneys, tricycles, habal-habal, buses, bikes, taxis, motorcycles, bancas, ships, ferries, trains, even cargo trucks; have experienced the best of both worlds--having known what's like to have and without, with my fair share of ups and downs, laughter and tears; educated in universities and schools of hard knocks; hated by some, loved by many. Life has been tolerable and beautiful despite the pain around... and it's because I've found a reliable travel companion in Jesus. |
