| Introduction | Gena was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, where her love of all things creative was nurtured from an early age. She developed a particular affinity for fabric while napping and day dreaming in her mother's linen closet. Upon enrolling at Colorado College, Gena discovered the medium of silk painting and has been playing with dyes and fiber ever since. Gena also works full-time for the Oregon Natural Desert Association as the Central Oregon Wilderness Coordinator, and takes great inspiration from the various forms and textures of the High Desert. You can see many elements of the natural world reflected in Gena's work. |
