| Introduction | I didn't know what a cross-dresser (CDer) was until my boyfriend brought high heeled shoes into our sex life. The label of Cross-Dresser for the fetish did not even occur to me until a few months later. I didn't not realize how big and ugly the issues in our relationship surrounding his gender would become. Throughout my trials I have found the resources for girlfriends, and SO's laughably scarce. (We laugh because it hurts) Where is a Hetero women to go when faced with the relationship crisis that few will ever experience? How do you seek council with friends when you must constantly explain your research on the topic that is so very foreign to them? I decided to add my story to the mish-mash of mediocre tales of cross-dressing husbands and confused, frustrated, supportive, grief striken and lost spouses because it seems my story is different. I could never quite see myself in the stories of other SO's I sought out. I never felt the camaraderie I desperately sought. |
