| Introduction | My motivation to launch this site is to update others, especially new family researchers with what I and others have discovered during our research. In 1993, I published the Kalynchuk Family History Book and put on a family reunion. In 2024, we will be having the second family reunion. I have made four trips to Ukraine so far and have been in contact with Ukrainians since 1989. Since this is a blog and not a static website, I encourage feedback, suggestions, and two-way communication. I look forward to the dialogue with other researchers viewing this blog on Ukrainian Canadian family research and genealogy, from Western Canada (starting with Alberta) and involving the first major wave, from 1896-1914. Please check back on this blog as I am adding new content. I am also getting more friends involved in this blog so we have a good variety of input on this topic. |
