| Introduction | I've been a Jazz/Tap dancer for most of my life. As a young adult, I performed with Sherry Gold's Dance Company for 5 years. In 1981, I opened my own dance studio, "Kerry Smith's Academy of Dance Arts". I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 1997, which led to the eventual close of my studio in 2003. Now, I determined to find a different way to share the things I learned as a dance teacher. I found, as I was teaching my students, my students were teaching me. |
| Interests | To find a way to give back to the dance community that gave so much to me. |
| Favorite movies | My favorite movie: "Titanic" |
| Favorite music | Haha...I don't listen to music! I am very connected to music, and each song brings me on an emotional journey, whether I want to go or not. Therefore, I only listen to music when I am looking for music to choreograph to or when I am actually teaching or choreographing. |
| Favorite books | My new favorite series is 'The Twilight Series' written by: Stephenie Meyer. |
