| Introduction | Growing up in the dark days of the apartheid era, one quickly learns how easy it is to slip across that fine line that demarcates one's ever present shadow side that lurks within each of us, from our humanity. I will continue to speak out against injustice and lingering racism still pervasive in our communities and support peaceful transformation initiatives that enables us to realize our true potential as a society. Having witnessed the brutality of apartheid up close, and my extensive travels and exposure to other cultures, I believe that a vibrant multi-party democracy, truly representative of all South Africans, will make our dream of a Rainbow Nation, a reality in our lifetime. |
