IntroductionThe purpose of this school garden project is not only to educate the children about how to grow and eat fresh fruit and vegetables, but also to learn about some of the activities undertaken on the Home Front during WWII, how important growing food was during this time. Important developments will be shared here, along with any sourcing / growing tips we find along the way. We intend to enter the 'Plymouth in Bloom' competition for the 3rd year in succession, and we're all keeping our fingers crossed that we will be successful again, and hopefully maintain our 'Gold Award' in the 'Best School Garden' category.
