Weir has complete understanding of his work to know when to stop or to keep on pushing. “When I am painting, there are no boundaries, no limits, it’s all about FEELING.” Weir has a strong use of black, browns, and tonal values. The paintings are bold statements from the inner voice. Some have a tribal rhythm, others strong saturation. Block shapes, transparency, the negative and positive… the world of the ABSTRACT EXPRESSIONIST.
