Introduction | I'm a rather eclectic person. I am a computer geek, I run heavy equipment, I'm in the SCA and working on building a forge to learn smithing, I'm a recovering salesman, and latest I have become an apprentice watch and clock maker. I was victim of child abuse, and recovering quite nicely, thank you. I am a gamer, RPGs and such. I am a Linux user, though not rabid, and I do feel there's a number of good uses for Windows. Though I still think that the best way to accelerate a windows box is 32ft/sec squared. I'm an aspiring artist, with little skill as of yet. But hay, I gota suck at somethings. As for other suckage, I'm a poor typist and speller thanks to dyslexia. But at least I know how to use a spell checker. I was engaged to be married to a lovely lady, who decided to dump me because I never got mad at her... Seems she'd been so use to abusive relationships that she couldn't believe any man could be that understanding. She thought I was just bottling it up and would blow up later. Though to tell the truth, I never even realized she was trying to upset me at times. I'm not the most observant person when it comes to certain things. |
Interests | Old clocks and watches, computers, RPGs, SCA, MU*s, RC flying, EMS and Rescue, fixing anything I get my hands on, camping, gadets, sleight of hand, magick. |
Favorite Movies | Harvey, Hair, Patch Adams, Never Ending Story. Those are what spring to mind first. |
Favorite Music | Mozart, Motley Crew, Leahy, Fleetwood Mac, Dead can Dance, Jean Michel Jarre, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, and way too many more to list here. What I don't like is twangy whiny country and rappers bragging. I like rap and country, just not those versions. |
Favorite Books | Any book I learn something from, be it a skill, idea or just a new way to look at an idea. 'Godel, Escher, Bach: an Eternal Golden Braid' By Douglas R. Hofstadter is a perfect example. |
