| Introduction | I am a 50 something woman living in Washington DC. I consider myself to be an independent thinker who believes in a civil society and democratic principles, the greatest good for the greatest number. This pragmatic, humanistic viewpoint permeates my perspective on life, living, pursuit of happiness, freedom. I was inspired to start this blog because I recall how stimulating it was in college to talk to people about issues. This opens up new thinking and possibilities. This is being made possible again through the power of social media. I am lucky to live in Washington DC and have the opportunity to attend all sorts of business and think take meetings on a myriad of subjects that I would like to share with others.
