| Introduction | George Nichols is the literary creation and occasional alter ego of G. K. Nedrow, who, like George, did hard time at several institutions of higher learning (Brown Univ., Westminster College (Pa.), Purdue Univ. and the Univ. of Tennessee) and received undergraduate and graduate degrees in literature and a doctorate in law. After twenty-five years as a corporate attorney with several Fortune 100 companies, he retired from corporate America to devote full time to writing. When he is not skulking the streets of mythical Afton, Virginia, impersonating George Nichols, Mr. Nedrow lives in the very real world of Glen Allen, Virginia, among family, friends, and neighbors who are as whimsical as any of those he writes about. |
