| Introduction | Age 2: Recognised as an incarnation of the Great Yogi Shangpa Rinpoche, a disciple of HH the 15th Karmapa. Age 9: Ordained by HH the 16th Karmapa. Age 9 to 15: Studied ritual arts and memorised scriptures under the late Dupsing Rinpoche and other learned teachers. Age 16: Joined the Tibetan Higher Institute of Buddhist Studies in Varanasi and mastered Buddhist philosophy, literature, poetry, history of Buddhism and Sanskrit, etc. Teachers: HH 16th Karmapa, Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche, Urgyen Tulku Rinpoche, Tenga Rinpoche, Khunu Rinpoche and Khenpo Rinchen. Age 19: Under HH 16th Karmapa's instruction, assumed the role of abbot of Jangchub Choeling Monastery in Pokhara, Nepal. Age 22: At Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche's request, became the spiritual teacher in Singapore. Now the abbot of Singapore Karma Kagyud Buddhist Centre. |
