About me

Gender Male
Industry Agriculture
Location Leeds, North Dakota
Introduction I live alone on my farm in a little cabin with no electricity, someday I will get the house built but for now I'm quite comfortable. I manage the family farm and have a small flax oil business which I really enjoy. I am the oldest of 8 children and watching them grow up is making me feel extremely old.
Interests God and how to better serve Him, agriculture, alternative energy, wilderness living/survival, playing music.
Favorite Movies Usually, television is about the biggest waste of time I can think of.
Favorite Music A few of my favorites, Rachmaninov's 18th variation on a theme by Paganini, Liszt's Hungarian rhapsody #2, Most pieces by Scott Joplin, many Strauss waltzes though I dare not drive while listening, big speeding ticket! Most bluegrass. When I get near a piano I have a few favorites that I like to play, from the hymns "And can it be" is really special because we sang it constantly after mom died, the chorus "Great is the Lord" by Michael W. Smith is a favorite for the same reason, I love "All Hail Immanuel" which has a really neat story behind it, "Give Thanks" is a beautiful one if done right as is "How Majestic is Your Name" also By Michael W. Smith. The list could go on and on until I have long run out of room here.
Favorite Books All of them! The Library would me my second home if could manage it. Classics from the likes of Charles Dickens to modern authors like Tom Clancy, though I don't like the language he uses and won't read his books anymore. Lately I have been sticking to more educational books and eliminating the fiction, authors such as Arden Anderson, Dan Skow and Neal Kinsey. Some others I have liked recently are Tortured for Christ (Richard Wurmbrand)In His Steps (Charles Sheldon, highly recommended) and Antiquities of the Jews (Flavius Josepus)I also collect first editions of G.A. Henty and then refuse to let anyone read them so they won't get wrecked, which means I have to buy new copies so I can read them! By far the best though is the Bible. If I had to choose just one book to read for the rest of my life it would be that.
