| Introduction | I am a visual artist working primarily in acrylics, pen & ink, or watercolor. I have no formal art education, but have been creating art in one form or another all of my life. I love to experiment and have painted on objects as diverse as satellite dishes, eggshells and mailboxes and even toilet seats. I was born and raised inland, far from the sea, but my heart has always drawn me to the beach and the water. I have had the good fortune of traveling throughout the continental US and Canada plus Hawaii, Mexico, 4 European countries, and numerous Caribbean islands. I always return to my greatest love – the Gulf Coast of Florida. I have lived many places along this stretch of Paradise – from Pensacola to Key Largo. The majority of my paintings depict scenes from these areas. My latest project is creating items and collections for licensing. It is my desire to establish myself as a licensed artist in the next few years. I am 63 yrs old, married with two adult sons and one grandson. I hope you enjoy my blog. . |
