Introduction	I live in Newport NC and just started in the hobby/trade/career? of beekeeping. At present I have one hive in my back yard. If all goes well then I will split this hive next year and have two. Even if the hive doesn't do well, I will order two more packages of bees and start over. This blog is as much for me as it is for others. It will be a place for me to keep track of my hive's progress and to document the decisions and actions (good or bad) that I have made. Hopefully this blog will serve as a guide for those just starting out and can learn one way or another what to do or not to do.
