| Introduction | I am the quintessential potterer (not to be confused with potter), in fact if there was a degree in Creative Pottering on offer I would probably be teaching it. My aim is to promote pottering as the creative activity it truly is. Long since banished to the garden shed and carried out by elderly persons in slippers, pottering needs to be recognised as the foundation of all artistic, scientific, cultural and social advancement. One of the big advantages of pottering is that you just can't get it wrong, there are absolutely no rules. I work in a completely undisciplined and random way and occasionally turn out something that might be called art, but I'm not too sure. I make the occasional ostrich or bird table out of recycled materials such as copper and wood but also 're-purpose' (ugh!), pallets, aluminium, slate and even washing machines. I am a dedicated skip hunter and rarely throw anything away. When I grow up.......well, best not think about it. Happy pottering. Have fun! |
