About me

Location Spokane, Washington
Introduction I have always wanted to create things to be used and loved, not stored in a computer file or under the bed, to me, functionality is very important. My inspiration is drawn from historic textiles, folk art, pen and ink drawings and historic American quilts such as Amish and Gees Bend. Family, faith, and travel (armchair and actual) are all driving forces in my work. First a concept is born and researched and then the pieces come together organically. This art I create is not just about useful objects, but also the repetitive motion, time, and dedication it takes to create treasures to be used and loved. In time, I hope these things tell their own stories of use, ownership and love.
