About me

Introduction	Greetings! I am an Associate Professor of Ethnomusicology and Anthropology at Indiana University and Director of the Ethnomusicology Institute. While originally from Colorado, I have lived here in Bloomington for the last six years with my 8 year old son, Seamus. I play far too many instruments to list here, but concentrate my time performing mostly on the Irish flute and Scottish Highland bagpipes. I listen to a weird mixture of metal, punk, and country, and on my days off I am usually in Brown County mountain biking or at a live music show downtown. I look forward to getting to know each of you!
