| Introduction | My name is Lance Frazee and this journey is dedicated to the memory of my daughter, Mackenzie Eileen Frazee, whom was carelessly and tragically taken from me without warning by a drunk driver on August 28, 2008. I decided shortly after her death that I would take her ashes and walk from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean, spreading her ashes in some of the places that she was so excited to see. |
| Interests | The Mackenzie Frazee Foundation was created after the death of my daughter and the battle that ensued in courts that ultimately brought a conviction to the individual responsible for her murder. As a parent that has lost a child, I’m haunted by the fact that my daughter never got the chance to experience a full life and aspire to the wonderful things we knew she was capable of. I feel the best way to honor Mackenzie’s life, is to help others who have been tragically affected by the same horrible crime. Mackenzie wanted to study art at a University, and was thrilled about pursuing her dreams. This is why I have decided to honor her and her memory through a foundation designed to raise money to provide scholarships for children who have been affected by drunk driving. The foundation will afford children who have lost their parents or who have been left with a disability, the opportunity to attend college. The paperwork has been filed and will be finalized during my walk. 100% of the donations made will go to the scholarship fund to be awarded to victims of drunk driving. |
